Barack Obama Listens To Us Little People, You Know...

How could Barack Obama's speech last night not be good? After all, he had Owen K. Bentley in the wings egging him on.

No teleprompter. Goodness no. Just Owen K. Bentley, and, I did a fine job if I do say so myself.

I like the fact that Barack is all about change. We all need change now and then, right? I know I sure do. Right now, as a matter of fact...

I hope those crazy kids aren't waiting for Barack to change me. He's way too busy :)

Barack Obama, Joe Biden, And President Clinton, oh my...

As you all know, I'm all about politics.
That's why I turned off Baby Einstein and tuned in the Democratic Convention last night. Now, I'm not going to tell you which party I like best (other than my birthday party of course) but I will say this:

Joe Biden reminds me of me. He's smart. Handsome. And he looks good in a suit :)

President Clinton? Well, he's like me, too -he rocks the house wherever he goes. However, I'm still the real "comeback kid", you know. Well, at least that's what I'm told.

Anyway, when I ran for office last year, everyone thought I was too young for the job, too. Way too inexperienced they said. No way for Owen K. they rumbled. But guess what? I won.

Now, are you guys picking up what I'm putting down here...

 Of course you are. I can't wait until tonight.

I Met A New Relative Today...

Family reunions are crazy fun. I didn't know I had so many relatives?!?!? Holy Genealogy Batman, it's a good thing they all had name tags. Well, everyone but me of course. After all -- I am Owen K. Bentley. Lord knows, I need no introduction.

Anyway, as I was networking with all my peeps, I found myself really connecting with a relative called Wayne. For whatever reason, Wayne and I got along like peas and carrots...

 Did I mention that Wayne is good looking? Darn right, pictures don't lie you know :)

Derek Sanderson Jeter and Owen K. Bentley...

I really, really wanted to see the New York Yankees with the rest of my family last weekend. It cut me deep that they would even entertain the thought of going to Yankee Stadium without the O-man. After all, Jeter and I are tight, you know.

Well, obviously Derek was pretty bummed that his biggest fan couldn't attend too, so what did he do? What else? He made darn sure the stadium peeps plastered my kisser on the jumbotron -right next to his stats! He's a good ole' boy that Jeter.

 I bet next year those crazy kids will beg like dogs to take me along :)

Can You Guys Keep A Secret?

Sometimes, you just need to hide your stuff, and a good hiding place is very important.

I'm very clever when it comes to secret locations, too. Not under the bed, that's too easy.
Not in the freezer. Everyone hides stuff there.

My best-est place ever was in the front yard flower bed. Well, at least until my Dad and Mom decided to re-mulch! Great. Just great. More work for me...

 Thank goodness for my Kubota. I'll find my cheerio and two nickles in no time flat now.
I rock.

I Can Be Very Quiet, You Know...

I watched two swans swim for quite a while the other day. Quite an achievement if I do say so myself - since there were times I was even afraid to breathe!

Anyway, since swans like breadcrumbs, and since I'm all about sharing ...I was happy to feed them lunch. However, I can tell you two things for certain:

1. Swans are very fast and can catch and devour a crumb in mid flight...

 2. Peanut butter makes them choke.

That's right. Today is a very special day in Owen-ville. My Mom is 26 years old. I've got so much to do...

Wait. I can't make a cake since those crazy kids grounded me from the stove

I can't go to the store since they stripped me of the car keys.

So, what's a kid to do?

Well, after putting my thinking cap on, I came up with a GREAT idea for a present. My gift didn't cost me a dime either!

I never had to leave the house to get it, and as you can see, I wrapped it all by myself...

 I sure hope Howie can breathe in that box.
